EU Milk production costs “a crisis”

The European Milk Board (EMB) has appealed to the EU to assist dairy farmers who are experiencing a milk production cost crisis by adopting its Market Responsibility Programme (MRP). According to the EMB milk production costs significantly exceeded farm-gate prices of milk paid to dairy farmers in several EU member countries. The EMB does not believe that milk prices will recover in the near future in view of the volume of milk available on the market still exceeding demand. To read more about this, click HERE.
