Milk production in January 2017 3,2% more than in January 2016

Milk SA estimates the total milk intake in January 2017 at 261 million litres, 3,2% more than in January 2016. Total milk intake in 2016 was 1,4% less than in 2015. The more favourable climatic conditions, as well as the expected more favourable milk to feed price ratio may promote production growth, particularly in the coming spring. For the next few months a significant growth in production is not expected.
