MPO Eastern Cape Congress

Nigel Lok, national chairman of the MPO, encouraged Eastern Cape farmers to hold their heads high and keep going during his inspiring talk at the recent MPO Eastern Cape congress held near Cradock. He says there is light at the end of the tunnel and he believes that the dairy industry is still healthy, despite the pressure on farmers. Dr Koos Coetzee gave a detailed overview of the economic factors that influence farmers while Lieb Venter, the managing director of FarmVision, talked about the various challenges and opportunities affecting dairy farmers today.  Dr Chris van Dijk shared advice on how to manage bigger herds without neglecting one’s team.
