MPO North honours top achievers

The MPO North honoured milk producers in the region at a dinner held at Villa Paradiso, Hartbeespoort on 24 August 2016 by giving them awards for their outstanding achievements over the past year. Rina Belcher of Belnori Boutique Cheesery received an outstanding achievement award to celebrate the 15 awards, including a Qualité award, she won at the SA Dairy Championships in 2016. Japie Nel received an outstanding achievement award for the Elite Master Dairy Farmer North title he had won. Hannes Neethling, the Silage King 2016 of Veeplaas and Biomin, was honoured with an outstanding achievement award.  Mpumalanga with Douglas Dickson as the chairman, won the MPO North Region of the Year award. MPO North regions announced the branches that had performed very well in the course of the year and trophies were handed to the branch chairmen concerned. Carolina, with its branch chairman Aubrey de Jager, was appointed Mpumalanga Branch of the Year. Rina Belcher, on behalf of the Middle Region, received the award of Gauteng Branch of the Year. Lichtenburg was once again the winner of the North West Branch of the Year award and the trophy was handed to Johan Strydom, the chairman: MPO North.
