Nedbank Winterton Press Release 29 June

June 29 – Winterton: Nedbank today officially launched its latest in-retailer branch at Hinterland in Winterton.

Nedbank is committed to increasing access to banking in growing communities across South Africa and is currently the only bank to offer in store banking in Winterton, a small town situated on the banks of the Tugela River in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains.

“This partnership will allow the local farming community and small business to enjoy most banking services without having to travel to large malls, creating convenient banking,”’ says Craig Evans, Divisional Executive: Retail & Business Banking.

According to Evans, the in retailer concept in Winterton is a viable proposition aimed at pooling the respective strengths of each partner. “The one-stop-shop model enables our clients to shop and carry out their banking at their convenience within their communities. It also allows us to provide affordable and innovative banking services and facilities.”

“Nedbank believes that money well managed can make a real difference to people’s lives. That is why, in keeping with our new brand ethos that money has the capacity for infinite good, we will service the agri- and small businesses in Winterton, and provide banking to the community in general,” adds Craig Evans.

The In-Retailer branches offer a defined range of products and services, tailored to suit the needs of the communities being serviced. These range from Current and Transactional Accounts, Savings, Funeral Plans and Personal Loans.  The branches are serviced by staff employed from the community who are fully trained to assist clients in making informed decisions about their financial needs. Clients can take advantage of deposit and withdrawal transactions at the till point; and the convenience of longer banking hours.

Nedbank is committed to increasing access to banking in growing communities across South Africa and is currently the only bank to offer in-store banking.
