Possible El Niño in the Spring of 2017

The latest ENSO Advisory was issued by the Climate Prediction Center/NCEP/NWS and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society on 13 April 2017. It is expected that ENSO-neutral conditions will continue through at least the Southern Hemisphere autumn of 2017. The chances of El Niño development by late winter and spring are increasing.
