School Milk Day celebrated in North West

MPO North West celebrated Schools Milk Day at schools in Sannieshof, Ottosdal and Ventersdorp on  Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 October, respectively. Pupils were told where milk came from and why it was important for children to include dairy products in their diets. Chris Ferreiro, branch chairman of the newly established Sannieshof MPO branch, helped regional coordinator Benita Oelofsen to distribute milk sponsored by Clover to 1 500 pupils at three schools in Sannieshof and one in Biesiesvlei on Tuesday. Winners of the colouring competitions held at the schools in Sannieshof received prizes sponsored by MPO North.

Three schools in Ottosdal participated in the celebrations on Wednesday, 12 October. They were given facts about milk and dairy products in an entertaining fashion by Nico de Bruyn, chairman of the Ottosdal branch, Frankus Scheepers and Benita Oelofsen. All the pupils received milk sponsored by Transem.

MPO North West thanks all sponsors, dairy farmers and others who contributed to the success of these events.
