Recent Mintel research findings indicate that the sales of drinking yoghurt in the US have grown by 62% over the past five years. The total value of drinking yoghurt sales amounted to $893 million in 2016. Mintel forecasts the US market for yoghurt and yoghurt drinks to grow by 3% in 2016 to reach a total sales value of $9,1 billion and is expected to reach $11,4 billion in 2021.
