Australian cooperative to invest AU$127 million in dairy

Australian cooperative Devondale Murray Goulburn plans to invest AU$127 million (R1,2 billion) in cheese, infant formula and dairy beverages. Australia’s largest cooperative plans three separate investments at existing plants in Victoria and Tasmania over the next 12 to 18 months. Devondale Murray Goulburn managing director Mr Gary Helou said in a statement: “We are investing in the future of Devondale Murray Goulburn to deliver high farm-gate returns, as we strive to navigate a new path to meet and serve the growing needs of international consumers and customers for Australian-made dairy foods.
