Celebrating milk the South African way!

On Sunday, 5 June 2016 visitors to the Jasmyn Farm Stall near the Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West were pleasantly surprised when they received free milk and milk products distributed from the MPO as part of the World Milk Day celebrations. Clover sponsored the pasteurised milk, the vanilla, strawberry and chocolate-flavoured milk, custard and Gouda and Cheddar cheese portions, which were handed to visitors at Jasmyn Farm Stall. The MPO’s two human cows attracted a lot of attention and provided entertainment for all. Barbara Bieldt, MPO manager: market protection and development, said the MPO was grateful for the support from Clover and milk producer Raymond Erasmus, which had made the event possible. The MPO plans to expand the celebration of milk significantly next year.
