Must-attend event on the 2014 dairy calender

Prof Johan Willemse will be one of the keynote speakersat the must-attend event on the dairy calendar for 2014 – the MPO’s national annual general meeting and gala dinner. The MPO invites all members, non-MPO dairy farmers, industry stakeholders and suppliers to join them at this prestigious event on 11 September 2014 at the Emoya Conference Centre in Bloemfontein. The 2014 theme, New price negotiation mechanisms for the dairy industry, is very close to dairy farmers’ hearts and is a topical subject in today’s competitive global economy. Prof Willemse completed his PhD in agricultural economics at the University of Pretoria, for which he received the prestigious Protein Research Trust award for the best PhD. He furthered his studies internationally at the University of Illinois in the USA, as well as at Oxford University Business School in the UK. Speakers will focus on the theme of the day because of the pressure dairy farmers are experiencing in the present economic situation in South Africa. Be sure not to miss this important conference in the dairy industry.
